We’re proud to present new work by Zel Hunt, a Dover-based artist whose paintings explore the tension between what is revealed and what remains hidden.
Drawing inspiration from the chalk cliffs, shipping lanes, and layered history of the Kent coastline, Zel’s work blends gestural mark-making with fragments of asemic writing — splintered letters, symbols, and forms that feel both ancient and abstract.
Each piece is built through a process of layering and excavation, combining oils, acrylics, cold wax, and Letraset to create rich, textural surfaces. The result is a body of work that is deeply personal, visually striking, and full of emotional resonance.
📍 Visit the Gallery between 25th April and 10th May to experience the full exhibition in person.
